My son had to have emergency surgery on December 22/23 2012. A Healthy vibrant young man who started complaining of abdominal pain. Upon arrival to ER, the doctors and mom thought it was appendicitis. Imagine our shock upon hearing he had a perforated bowel with peritonitis. Immediately after speaking with the surgeon he was wheeled into the OR. My prayers were answered when at 2:15am a member of the surgical team called the waiting room and told me, "Your young man came through surgery just fine." Talk about the best Christmas Gift ever! The gifts under the tree mean nothing, God gave us the best gift of all.
