Having been told I needed pressing Geary surgery a year ago, through education and reassurance from friends and professionals, I found that without even trying - I'd been imbued with this deep underlying sense of gratitude to all involved. From my country's wonderful universal health care system, to my surgeon Emily to the wonderful hospital from check in to rehab. Gratitude - as I remember being shifted to the operating table with a large blur circular light above me - removed all fear. Without me even trying. Tell people you are grateful if you are.
