Description
Last night at the grocery store, I saw a little girl, maybe five years old, or six, and she was dressed like "Merida" from the Pixar film, Brave. Full costume, mind you, complete with red wig, gold slippers, and bow & arrow set. Everyone was commenting on how adorable she was, and it occurred to me that children have little sense of what is "appropriate", and I think that totally rocks! We grown ups are just too stuffy and worry too much about what others might think if we let our inner kid come out to play.
So, THANK YOU, to her mom, who confessed that she lets her kids dress themselves so they have confidence and a sense of self. We should all be so lucky to have that sort of blissful self esteem!
