Attended an inspiring memorial celebration for a friend of my mother's

  I decided at the last minute to accompany my family to a memorial service for the husband of my mother's and brothers' piano teacher. The man that died was ninety years old and although I did not know him, it was inspiring to hear stories about his long, happy life.
